How to Add Subdomains, Addon Domains, and Parked Domains in Webuzo Print

  • 0

Adding a Subdomain

A subdomain is an extension of your main domain (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com). It can be used to organize different sections of your website.

Steps to Add a Subdomain:

  1. Log in to your Webuzo control panel.

  2. Go to the Domains section and click on Subdomains.

  3. Enter the subdomain name you want to create (e.g., blog).

  4. Select the main domain under which this subdomain will be created.

  5. Click Create.

Your subdomain will now be active and can be used to host content or applications separately from your main domain.

Adding an Addon Domain

An addon domain allows you to host a completely different website under your main hosting account with its own domain name.

Steps to Add an Addon Domain:

  1. Log in to your Webuzo control panel.

  2. Navigate to the Domains section and select Addon Domains.

  3. Enter the new domain name you want to add.

  4. Specify the directory where this domain’s files will be stored (usually auto-filled).

  5. Assign or create an FTP account if desired (optional).

  6. Click Add Domain.

Your addon domain will now be set up, and you can upload its website files to the specified directory.

Adding a Parked Domain (Alias)

A parked domain (or alias) points another domain to your main domain’s website, so visitors see the same content under both domain names.

Steps to Add a Parked Domain:

  1. Log in to your Webuzo control panel.

  2. Go to the Domains section and select Parked Domains or Aliases.

  3. Enter the domain name you want to park (alias).

  4. Click Add Domain.

The parked domain will now redirect visitors to your main website content.

Important Notes

  • Make sure the domain’s DNS is correctly pointed to your server’s IP address before adding it to Webuzo.

  • For addon and parked domains, you may need to update the domain’s nameservers at your registrar to point to your hosting.

  • DNS propagation may take up to 24–48 hours.
